The Spanish Group for Sarcoma Research (GEIS) organizes the GEIS XVIth International Symposium by next October, 4th to 6th in Seville (Spain).

GEIS group has a special commitment with continuous education on sarcoma since its birth in 1994 and coordinates, within its Annual Meeting, a teaching program.

MTD CONTEST

The GEIS XVI International Symposium will be held in Seville (Spain) on October, 5th and 6th.  This is a multidisciplinary meeting organized by the Spanish Group for Sarcoma Research (GEIS), that, for the first time, will include an MTD Contest. We invite you all to participate as multidisciplinary teams in this unique opportunity.

Dr. Alessandro Gronchi will send a clinical case that will be available on the website of the GEIS XVI International Symposium (www.geissymposium2018.com) from September, 6th.  MTD proposals will be accepted before September, 24th.  The best one will win a 1000 euro grant to be used for educational purposes of one or several members of the MTD.

The MTD proposals submitted should meet the following criteria:

The sumission should not exceed 4 slides. The first slide with the title and name and speciality of the presenter and the members of the MTD, the second slide will include the diagnosis, the third one the treatment proposed and the explanation will be detailed on the 4th slide.

Submission deadline and requirements

For submission, please send your MTD proposal by e-mail to symposiumgeis2018@grupogeis.org before September, 24th. You will receive an e-mail confirming your participation in the contest.

Please note that participants in the MTD Contest should be registered to the symposium.

Reviewing and Scoring MTD discussions

Proposals will be judged based on the most consistant justification of the treatment proposed. A review panel formed by Dr. Alessandro Gronchi, Dr. Robin Jones and Dr. Shreyas Patel will revise and score the MTD proposals presented.

Notification

The authors of the 3 most voted proposals will be notified by October, 1st.

Award

During the Clinical Cases Session, the winner of the MTD proposal will be announced  and the winner will be awarded with  a 1000 euro grant to be used for educational purposes of one or several members of te MTD.

Cancellation policy

Any cancellation will be required in writting, by e-mail, to the Symposium Secretariat. symposiumgeis2018@grupogeis.org

Cancellations will entail a charge of  30,00 € for administrative expenses.

  • Cancellations received before September, 7th will be refunded 50% of the amount paid.
  • No refund will be made for cancellations received after September 6th.

Name changes

15,00 € will be charged for name changes received after September, 6th.
